Spaghetti and meatballls

Spaghetti and meatballs al la Roman Maroni.

I have been thinking a lot recently about my very, very good friend Mike “Roman Maroni” McKenna. I have, through much fault of my own, lost touch with him. One of the warmest, kindest and funniest people I have ever known. I want him back. Mike, if you read this blog, this message is for you: Read more…

Grilled Chicken Breast

Not burnt. Blackened. Gottit? I can assure you it was delicious.

It hasn’t happened to you? Well I have experienced this form of dick-swinging–and have then watched the dick-swinger being humbled–and I mean properly humbled by something so hot that it is akin to battery acid, only not as light, delicate and refreshing. Tosser. Read more…

Chicken Piri Piri MY way.

November 9, 2009 4 comments

Take one cat and set it amongst some pigeons. For that is what this recipe will do as up to two people, yes, two people will write in and tell me “No way, that’s not how you do Piri Piri Chicken!” Well, in this house it is how I do Piri Piri Chicken. There are other ways too, but for me this way is fur-lined, double padded with sprinkings of bliss and happiness. Read more…
