The pork fillet shrunk a bit during cooking. Still looks pretty tasty, though!

So there I was plying you with generous doses of verbosity, telling you exactly how I was going to make Pork Wellington-ington-ington-tiddle-i-po. Well, it looks pretty good... what is it like to eat?

Right. Confession time.  I did lead certain people astray by announcing on Facebook that I would be making this again tonight. I have since discovered that I was lying. I think in fact that what I did (and investigations are ongoing) was play a cheap shot at getting people to read this blog.  I watch the stats like a hawk, celebrating each and every “hit” with a short burst of opera from The Marriage of Figaro. I done ate me a hawg. It was gooood!

The problem with writing recipe blogs is that you are mentally cooking the dish as you write. Actually cooking it can be a whole new kettle of fish.

Well, I’m tickled pinkish to tell you that I followed my instructions and the dish was a triumph dahling!

The pork was cooked to perfection, the goo was almost perfect – the pears were slightly too juicy. The bacon was crisp and the rice and everything else were yum.

Go me!
